Women and Girls Circles

Women and Girls Circles are magical spaces to share and be yourself and tell your story or witness others sharing theirs, without being judged.

They aren’t like a meeting, a youth work session, a networking group or a counselling session.

Participants create the circle together and its a place to be heard rather than to try to solve problems or help in the usual ways.

In partnership with Knowsley Youth Mutual we run monthly circles to celebrate and support women and girls. They are peer led by women from the local community.  Each month has a different theme.  Come on over to our Facebook page for more details.

We often run parallel circles for Women and our Little Sista Girls in the same building!  So each group has space to be open and speak freely and then they join together for the closing circle.  Young Women between 8-16years are welcome.

“I see a chain of women, each listening to each, being present to her as she waits for her Self to be born, for her feeling values to come to form and to birth…Woman after woman, being present, as each finds her voice”

Judith Duerk: Journey to Herself

Our Founder and her work facilitating circles : Clare Beloved

Clare has been sitting in, calling, birthing and facilitating circles for over 22 years and is a highly skilled and experienced circle sista but she also believes that circle is not a place to show up as the expert its a place to sit in authenticity and vulnerability – as such we are all beginners in circle.

Her experience as a group facilitator and therapist bring a depth of journeying and permission giving in circle with people.

Clare has brought circle work into mental health settings, with survivors of sexual abuse, in prisons, schools, hospitals, homeless shelters, Sure Starts, young women’s services and with young offenders.

She has also facilitated circles with senior management, leaders, local government, Police, Public Health and staff teams across many sectors.

As a circle facilitator, highly skilled consultant and expert Arts in Health Practitioner she is commissioned to develop & deliver innovative circle projects across the UK and internationally.

Clare has been part of Gather the Women and Millionth Circle and many International Circle movements. She creates moveable feasts – safe deeply divine spaces  for individuals, groups and communities to risk authenticity and express their own creativity with the juiciest of results!

She is currently working on projects in Knowsley and liverpool launching circle work funded by Public Health and others and a radical arts circle project funded by the CCG creating 1000 Goddess Self Portraits and leaving a legacy of diverse support.
